St Louis report of Sept 21 states Fred W Weeman aged 68, a discharged employee, was found dead yesterday with a bottle of poison beside him. It marks the sixth death by self harm among now former workers of the changes administration.

Eleven of twelve grand jurors were chosen by Circuit Judge James R. Page to probe vice and racketeering in Kansas City. The panel includes D. Adams, Arthur Williams, FR W Butters, Porter Jones, J C Endicott, C C Daniels, Hugo Brecklin, Joseph Jedlicka, Russell Greiner of Kansas City, Rex Hedrick of Buckner, and R R Chopli of Independence. The final juror will be picked Monday as the panel begins work, with the first case the fatal shooting of Paul Proctor by Dr E L Davis in Independence.
Edwardsville Sept 21 The state foresees late today or tomorrow the completion of the case against six alleged kidnapers in the Luer case with the electric chair as the possible penalty. Prosecutor Geers spoke as jurors heard statements and testimony from Detective Murphy and DOJ agents Brennan and Gross. The defendants Fitzgerald Norvell Chessen Musiala Gitcho face separate counsels and pledges of time from the jury.
Newsreels show threatening letters received in Oklahoma City as genuine, purportedly from George Machine Gun Kelly. Kelly is sought in connection with the kidnapping of Charles Urschel.
In Pittsburgh on September 21 AP reports Father Ralph Leo Hayes was consecrated a bishop after a papal bull from Pope Pius XI designated him Bishop of Helena, Montana. Hayes, formerly a standout at Duquesne University, received the crosier ring and mitre as symbols of his office.
