Early today a fire at the Ramada Inn in Jeffer son City destroyed a storage structure and a garbage area. Firefighters arrived at 4 30 am to extinguish the blaze and a steel door protected the Pepper Mill Restaurant kitchen. Manager Pat Bergauer estimated damage at 32500 and noted only the concrete floor remained after the building was pulled down.

Two Die In One Car Crash Near Edgar Springs
A one car crash on U S 63 just south of Edgar Springs Missouri killed two teens identified as John Wayne Shockley 17 Union and John Waildgm Brown 18 Beaufort who died in hospital about three hours later. Bridgeton Man Dies In One Car Crash Near St Martins
A 25 year old Bridgeton man, Kent Larose, died early this morning in Boone County after a one car crash on U.S. 63 near St Martins. The car driven by Mrs Dorothy Burger, 27, of Route PP, California, struck a curve at high speed then rolled. Three others were hospitalized with injuries. The incident raises the 1968Troop Two fatality count to 102 with 13 remain.
