Three injured as car leaves road near Pulaski

Willard J. Rowden, 48, drove off the road to avoid a oncoming car, suffering a fractured jaw and possible skull fracture along with serious internal injuries. His son Danby, 27, had scalp abrasions and another son Michael, 15, had possible back injuries and scalp lacerations. They were taken to Pulaski.

Jefferson Street Closure for U S 54 Construction

Jefferson Street will be closed Wednesday morning from the east end of Swift's Highway to Madison Street for construction of new U S 54. Highway Department District 5 engineer Ray Lahmeyer said the closure is indefinite and that the new U S 54 will pass under Jefferson Street, which will be relocated to connect with Stadium Boulevard.
