Two Killed In Missouri Traffic Accidents

Missouri highway patrol reports two fatalities in Monday crashes. Kenneth John Phelps, 13 months, died after a crash on Interstate 435 Kansas City near 55th Street overpass. His father Clifford Lee Phelps sustained head injuries and was hospitalized at Research Hospital Kansas City. John William Graeff, 72, Osborn, died after a collision on Route 36 in Dekalb County. driver George William Johnson, 79, Cameron, was seriously injured and admitted to Cameron Community Hospital. A 14-year-old Prairie Home boy, John William Chenault, was seriously injured when he ran from a school bus into a truck on Route 87 in Cooper County and transferred to Cooper County Hospital Boonville.

Capitol Area Hunger Walk Raises Ten Thousand Plus

Organizers report $10,779.50 has been collected with funds still outstanding from participants. About 750 people joined the 10 mile Capitol Area Hunger Walk held September 30, sponsored by CROP and the Peruvian Development Foundation.
