General Clay halts speech at anti Communist rally

Gen Lucius D Clay faced hecklers at a Berlin hold the line rally and tore up a prepared address. He urged Berliners to show moral strength to curb youth uprisings and warned Russians as police dispersed 12,000 pickets. An outburst about Mrs Koch of Buchenwald sparked chants and detentions.

Polio Core Institutes Slated for June 27-28

Two institutes on diagnosis and treatment of poliomyelitis will be presented June 27-28 in Jefferson City by the University of Missouri. Dr. Thomas A. Brady said the institutes are in cooperation with the National Foundation for Infantile Paralysis, the Missouri Division of Health, and the State Crippled Children's service. Additional sessions will be held in Sikeston, Springfield, Hannibal, Joseph, and Kangas ty in June.
