SAN ANTONIO reports Henry Ford refused to build airplane motors for England, canceling an 11 844 dollar sedan order and switching to Chevrolets for 12 192 dollars. Mayor Maverick says Ford’s stand weakens national defense while defense officials cite the need to unite purchases. Concerns rise as Britain and the U.S. weigh 3 000 planes combined for war needs and a new XPB2Y-1 patrol bomber is highlighted.
