United Church of Christ Supports Right to Die
ST LOUIS AP The United Church of Christ voted to allow a terminally ill person to die with no extraordinary measures, endorsing living wills and open decisions by relatives and doctors. The denomination urged ethical limits on prolonging life and urged proper care for the patient rather than mere bodily survival. The group also elected Charles Blicker as vice moderator and welcomed a Chavez support pilgrimage to California.

Mouse origins traced to Asia and spread to Europe
Scientists trace the house mouse to Asia, then to Europe. The term mouse may derive from an old Sanskrit word meaning thief. Ships likely introduced the house mouse to America more than two centuries ago.
