Retirement honor for Knipp Motors parts manager Wekenborg

New York police officer Dorothy Uhnak left the Transit Police in 1987 to pursue writing after publishing Policewoman. She wrote three novels and a major work Law and Order about cops across three generations, drawing on Irish and Jewish roots and time spent in Ireland for research. She recalls a mugging arrest in the subway tunnels where she disarmed a gunman.
