New Parking Plan for State Ends in Divisive Debate

A renewed Missouri parking plan proposed by Governor Donnelly envisions a large surface lot north and east of the Capitol to replace underground parking. The plan, costing around 900000, would relocate the Highway Patrol HQ and repurpose the Tweedie Footwear plant area to ease city street congestion and provide parking for about 10 vehicles. Supporters say it merits legislative support next year, while critics contend costs and planning flaws.
