Packing Strike May Be Packed With Politics

Stark’s Picture Vandalized in Jackson County Buildings

Bankruptcy Shoe Firm Sells Leather Stock

Hamilton-Brown Shoe company assets brought between 192 000 and 195 000 at a sale of leather stock in 1140 lots. Buyers from California Texas Massachusetts and St Louis purchased the material. Costs totaled 273 000 with an appraised value of 300 000. Trustees Lake and Vardaman were granted fees. a Boston law firm lien for 25 000 and a 3 500 fee for creditor representation were under advisement.

Not Interested in Halting War Exports

Washington July 21 AP well informed senators said President Roosevelt has indicated he is not interested in action this session on a bill to curb exports of war supplies to Japan. They add Pittman may seek Foreign Relations Committee review once state dept rules on potential treaty violation. White House neutrality conference aside, the president reportedly dismissed the subject as unnecessary this session.
