Quality wheat seen in Cole county and region

Jefferson City grain elevators expect at least 100000 bushels of milling wheat this year. Gordon Dulle Milling reports wheat from Cole and Callaway counties is superior to recent years despite stem rust rumors. Some areas like Tebbetts and Moniteau county show inferior quality. Returned to Joplin on larceny charge

Justin Luttrell an 18 year old of Chicago was charged with grand larceny after allegedly selling tomatoes belonging to Floyd Houghton at the Joplin city market. Luttrell was returned from Tulsa after helping unload tomatoes from a truck in exchange for a ride to Texas.

Husband of Tennessee child bride held on charges

Newton D. Baker former secretary of war is reported in his Saratoga Springs hotel room recovering from a slight stroke suffered Monday. His daughter Mrs John Gean said he is not seriously ill and that Baker and his wife plan to leave Saratoga Springs Sunday after rest in bed for recovery.
