In St Louis on July 6 AP reports June expenditures by the Citizens' Committee on Relief and Employment totaled 569550 dollars, down 316873 from May. The number of families receiving aid fell from 35667 in May to 34115 in June.

Man Falls From Four Story Federal Building Dies

Sam Spray, 45, Milwaukee, died after lungs were punctured by fractured ribs from a fall yesterday at the four story federal hospital administration building in Springfield. He was moving scaffolding at the time of the accident.

Ex-convict escapes Buchanan Co jail in Missouri

Walter Tracy an ex-convict held in Buchanan county jail for bank burglary at Stanberry Missouri escaped last night. He reportedly improvised a bed bunk key, left his cell, descended a dumb waiter and exited through the jail house window. Tracy was held on charges of breaking into the Commercial Bank at Stanberry on March 17 and escaping with over $10,000, with $9,400 in cash and bonds recovered when he was arrested in Kansas City on May 11.
