St Louis report details Hugh W Thomasson 73 and Grace Caroline Thomasson 29 reconciling after divorce filings. An affidavit signed by both denies kidnap claims and asserts marriage remains valid. Couple reside at Broadview Drive Clayton with real estate valued at about 5880000, mortgages and assets noted.
Funeral services were held in Kansas City for Walter S Dickey chief stockholder of the Kansas City Journal Post and leader in Republican politics. The paper, now directed by his son Laurence Dickey, suspended activities briefly in tribute. Services were at the Dickey home with Dr S Willis McKelvy officiating. Pallbearers were W S Dickey Clay Manufacturing associates.
In Los Angeles on January 26, judge William Doran postponed Daisy De Boe’s sentencing for alleged $825 theft from Clara Bow until next Monday after defense asked for a new trial and delay for arguments. Bow’s letter urging mercy was read, noting she fears blackmail and aims to protect herself. Daisy remained in jail. Bow did not attend due to illness.

A confessed killer details a robbery at a filling station. He fired when a attendant resisted a stickup, hit the man, then fled by car and damaged tires. He fled town at daylight, hitchhiked to Jefferson City, walked toward St. Louis, dumped the revolver in the Missouri River, and later learned from his brother he had killed the attendant.
Washington, Jan 26 AP reports that January remains dry and warm east of the Mississippi, deepening drought compared with December and a year ago. Agricultural meteorologist J B Kincer says conditions are worse in seven states Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Kentucky, Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, with Michigan and West Virginia relatively better.

Professor Charles E Fay an 84 year old Tufts College mathematician and longtime instructor died at Massachusetts General Hospital yesterday after an appendix operation. Born in Boston he was an internationally known alpinist and educator at Tufts for 60 years.

Jersey City report states Edward I. Edwards former New Jersey governor and U S senator died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound found today in his bedroom. He had battled health problems and despondency for months and left a sealed letter to his daughter Edeth, police said.
In Springfield Missouri on January 9 1936 three suspects Mrs C Freeman Gargous Perry Hammond and Gargous brother were released from Stone county jail. They had been held since January 8 in connection with the summer murder of Bascom Ingram the railroad painter at Crane Missouri. An alibi proved Gargous was in Peabody Kansas at the time and the other two were cleared as innocent.
The Nicholas-Beazley Aircraft Company of Marshall Missouri answered a patent infringement suit filed in federal court by the Curtiss Assets Corporation of New York. The case centers on control surfaces of aircraft and patents including one issued in 1914 to Orville Wright. The defendants say they were unaware any party held such patents. The filing was made by George C D Beardsley and Henry M M Beardsley, noted Kansas City figures.
Oklahoma railroads will reduce chair car fares to two cents per mile on routes competing with the St. Louis San Francisco lines which recently received approval to drop fares from 3.6 cents per mile. Officials announced the move in Oklahoma City on January 20.
