ANOTHER MAIL PLANE PILOT DIES AT THE THROTTLE. Morgantown WV Feb 1 AP Pilot Eugene Cecil an air mail pilot was found dead in a biplane wreckage in the mountains near Morgantown. The mail was intact. The plane en route to Pittsburgh from Cleveland. Cecil apparently tried to land on a mountain field but struck a fence and perished instantly. Five members of two train crews and a Louisville express Co. employee were killed when passenger No. 146 crashed head on with a freight eight miles from Henderson Kentucky. Double Execution in Missouri Ends Murders by Lowry and Yeager
In St. Louis on February 1 two convicted killers Thomas Lowry and Leonard Yeager were executed by electric gallows at 6:15 a.m. The double death followed their murders of motor patrolman Eugene Lively on September 25, 1926, and tailor Conniours Schou on November 17, 1926. Witnesses numbered about 73 as final rites were spoken and the inmates rode an elevator to the death chamber.

Horses Burned To Death At Wichita Stable Fire
A Wichita blaze destroyed the Wichita Saddle and Bridle Club stables early today, killing 33 thoroughbred horses including the $20,009 filly Lila Lee. Resolution invites Excelsior Springs Chamber to install drinking fountains
