Curtis Manes Construction Co. of Eldon was the apparent low bidder for Miller County's new five bed nursing home with a bid of $280.00. Bids opened earlier this week. all bids exceeded the estimated cost and the $250,000 bond issue. The site is the present nursing home location on Missouri 17 between Tuscumbia and Iberia.

Stolen Purse, Items Reported Missing In Two Incidents

Mrs Brockman reported her car purse stolen Thursday afternoon with 56 in cash and items including a tear gas pistol valued at 3 50 a checkbook an ID card a skirt valued at 5 and a credit card. Miss Wanda Workman told police a nurse found the purse in a Division of Health lot. Arnold Utrecht reported a new girl s bicycle valued at 339 stolen from his front porch Thursday afternoon.

Eldon special school project set to begin soon with a five classroom addition at South Elementary. Mastin Enterprises of Clinton won the bid at 382 232. Voters approved a 115 000 bond issue on October 19 to fund construction and equipment.
