German flyer starts trip over Atlantic from Iceland

Captain Von Gronau with four young aviators left Reykjavik at 6 35 am heading west toward the United States. His radio position 65 50 north 2620 west placed him between Iceland and Greenland. Land arrangements were made in Greenland and Canada with Teeland assistance. He carried 158 gallons of gasoline and hinted he would return to Germany. He surprised locals by paying his hotel bill and departing quietly before dawn.

Girls' hockey team tops boys at ig-nam Roller Rink

The girls’ hockey team defeated the boys 2-0 to clinch the three game series at ig-nam Roller Rink last night after a 4-0 win in the first game.
