Four workers were badly beaten as torches hoses and harnesses were damaged. Dallas C. Welby of the Oklahoma Contracting Co said to halt work and will resume tomorrow under guard.

Threatened mob blocks burn of Reds children's camp
A mob of about 2000 men and boys tried to burn the Communist children’s camp at Van Etten New York after demanding the camp close within a half hour. Sheriff Tifft state troops and deputies dispersed the crowd as two camp leaders Mabel Husa and Arlene Holmes were held on charges of desecrating the flag. The 70 children remained terrified as mob leaders vowed to destroy the camp before its final day of stay.
