Bank bandits routed by tear gas in Levasy Missouri
Four men attempted a robbery of the Bank of Levasy in Missouri. Edwin Borgman, the cashier, fired a tear gas gun from behind the counter, spraying the bank and scattering the robbers as a maroon sedan with Kansas plates waited outside. Edward Wooldrich, a customer, and Borgman aided by kicking gas cleared the scene and the assailants fled west on Highway 24.
