Two Wien Burned Alive in Oil at Ghigag Refinery

Chicago April 30 Two men were burned alive in an oil refinery explosion at Cabros Products Corporation. Foreman James Fleming died. Waller Hiitch a 22 year old Northwestern graduate was found dead in a nearby lab. Four others escaped unharmed and led a fifth to safety. Officials cited $160000 in damage.

Washington April 39 AP Members of the Chamber of Commerce heard Fed eral Farm Board chairman Legge sharply rebuke the chamber for inaction amid the farm crisis after backing cooperative marketing in 1928 He urged bankers and businessmen to aid the commodities market as they did the stock market and defended the agricultural marketing act as the means to help farmers, criticizing indifference and urging real support.

Missouri weather report notes insufficient rainfall and late frosts

The U.S. Weather Bureau report from Columbia, Missouri, says the past week was too cool and dry for most crops, with frosts on the 24th and 25th injuring tender vegetation in lower lands. Rainfall since then helped wheat oats and truck crops but was not enough to meet needs.

Chillicothe Gains Federal Docket For Spring Term

France plans nationwide hydro electric electrification with Normandy and Brittany excluded.

Meyer to face curators over Missouri freshman affair
