Decides to Fire Jolot-Curie in France Atomic Post
Paris April 22 AP The French government fired Frederic Joliet-Curie chief of France’s Atomic Energy Commission amid long standing pressure from centers and right wing leaders. The 50 year old Nobel chemist faced criticism for pro Soviet statements and allegiance. He had led the commission since 1948 under General de Gaulle’s presidency and previously worked with Marie Curie’s Radium Institute.

Police say Mur vil King admitted firing two shotgun blasts at his wife Dorothy while she worked as a restaurant waitress in Kansas City. The 21 year old died en route to the hospital.
