In Luray Virginia on April 17 260 city youths forming the Presidents first battalion of Sunday amateur foresters trek toward Powell's Fort Massanutten Mountain to establish a six month camp a model for future forest nurseries. They travel from Port Washington Maryland and will build a log cook house mess hall and tent floors while facing legends of ghosts and perilous routes along Passage Creek and Massanutten Peak.

Farm youth waives extradition in wheat theft case

Ivan Lotten, 23, a Bellflower farmer, waived extradition after arrest on charges of stealing 1500 bushels of wheat from isolated North anti farm granaries. Three other youths confessed and implicated Lotten as he was returned to face charges.

Americans Safe in Changi Bombing Report
