Missouri crops hold steady despite frost and wet spell

In Columbia Missouri on April 17 the U S Weather Bureau reports a cool wet and cloudy week slowed field work but wheat oats and grasses show good condition. Wheat stands 6 to 12 inches tall with alfalfa developing similarly. Cotton planting in southeast Missouri delayed and corn also affected by wet weather. Tree fruits blossom with no frost injury and Ozark strawberries are in very satisfactory condition.
