Four Die in Kentucky Coal Field Riot Near Middlesboro

Four men died and eight others were hospitalized after gunfire erupted near the Fork Ridge Coal Company mine in southeast Kentucky just inside the Tennessee line. Airport News reports the Junior College Civilian Pilot Training group completed Stage B and are now in Stage C. Mountain Climbing Dog Ends Career at Mount Hood

Ranger the mixed-blood Indian dog famed as a mountain climbing celebrity died at 15 in Mt Hood, Oregon. Guide Ole Lien carried his body to the summit and buried it among the rocks at 11,245 feet. Ranger once ran thrice the distance of his human companions and often completed three climbs in a day.
