Storm floods state streams in Northwest Missouri

Storms bring heavy rain and hail as small streams overflow in Northwest Missouri. Flooding centers near Brunswick, Gallatin, Hamilton, and areas around Kansas City with the Missouri River unchanged. At 7 am Jefferson City river stage stood at 20.2 feet, down 1.3 feet in 24 hours. Boonville and Hermann show drops from 0.2 to 1.4 feet.

Moderate job gains lift employment only slightly in March

Interstate road work planned for Missouri budget

Attempted thefts reported to police overnight

Jefferson City police logged two attempted break ins including Mayde Clark at 804 E Miller Sr where a screen was removed and a window opened but intruder fled. Jefferson City Oil Co at 580 Brooks was entered but nothing missing. Arden interiors at 414 W Dunklin St saw two windows broken by rocks with about $200 damage.
