California April 5 Special John William Britton 86 living on a farm six miles southwest of here for 63 years died at his home from pneumonia. He was semi invalid 15 years. Funeral Thursday at Sappington cemetery with burial there. Born Litchfield Virginia February 29 1864 son of George and Mrs. Britton. Survived by wife four sons Charley Willie George Clarence two daughters Frances and Mrs W B Moore, one brother Jim one sister Lucy Brady. He was longtime secretary of the Sappington school board.
