Aviation conference set for Ichita Kansas April dates
Jimmy Hunter of the state aviation planning board will attend the fourth annual Southwest Aviation Conference at Ichita Kansas April 24 25 and 26. Speakers include William S Knudsen Donald W Douglas E E Porterfield Dr Robert H Hinckley and others. The three day program covers every phase of aviation. Hunter aims for a private pilot license with over 20 flight hours. Flying at the airport continued amid showers as Chief Instructor John Randolph planned flights barring heavy rain. CASA ground school supervisor HG Criley said conditions were good. A Navy air reserve recruiting drive will run in Rolla Monday and Tuesday to screen applicants at the Rolla Post Office. Applicants must be 20 to 27 and unmarried.

Highway Fatalities Rise in March 1941
Highway patrol reports March traffic deaths rose to 38, eight more than March 1940, with year to date at 116, 19 above the prior year. State figures exclude deaths in cities of 10,000 or more.
