Court martial verdict on Colonel Quentin’s conduct
The Gazette reports the court martial found Colonel Quentin guilty on part of the first charge for neglecting to issue orders to divisions during a January assault, and guilty on the fourth charge for permitting relaxed discipline, while acquitting him on the second and third charges. The Prince Regent approved the findings, reprimand issued, and officers who signed the August letter were dispersed to other cavalry regiments.

Lord Oxford Detained in France on Return from Italy
On the 26th ult Lord Oxford left Paris for Italy but at Ville Juif near Paris he was halted by Commissary M Carriage and forced to surrender his papers. He protested but complied and was allowed to continue to Italy but returned to Paris to complain to the Duke of Wellington with no redress. The move is thought to seek the British memorandum contents regarding Murat's memorials. Some conjecture that it aimed to probe official British replies to those memorials.
