Tax on Slaves Notice in Batavia 1815 Collectors Schedule
The President and Magistrates of Batavia announce the Slave Tax collection for 1515. The Collector will attend at the Stad-house office May 1 to July 1, excluding Sundays, to receive payments. He will sit May 1 to May 31 for town inhabitants, June 1 to June 30 for outpost residents, and July 1 for surrounding inhabitants. No payments after deadlines or new certificates unless carried from last year. Notices posted in English Dutch and Native languages.
