Jasper Commercial Club backs west road grading drive
The Jasper Commercial Club held a special meeting Tuesday night with President Hayzlett to hear Road Overseer Simmons report progress on a five mile main road west from the Jasper Schoolhouse. The first mile and a half is completed at about 2735 per mile. future gravel will cost more as pits run out. Labor is scarce and funds are low, but farmers’ checks may relieve the shortfall. The project aims to connect Jasper and boost town and country prospects.
