State Veterinarian D. FP informs the Office of the State Board of Agriculture at Columbia Missouri about complaints of livestock losses from the so called Corn Stalk Disease. Farmers and wives are urged to learn about the disease and its treatment and may request a circular by addressing the college.
The News this week reports births to Jowerr and wife eight miles southeast a girl Saturday October to BE Crawford and wife Jasper a boy Wednesday October For pumps windmills and repairs by J E Steiner.
The A H T A parade and demonstrations next Wednesday in Jasper will feature Lodges from Hosten Lynnland Plessant Hl Bloomingdale Carytown with Carthage participants. Visiting members from other sections and states are invited to join. The parade starts at 1 p m with county officials and candidates addressing the public each afternoon at the ATTOA venue. Congressional candidates Me Man love Becker Col Phelpe A Clark and others will speak, with state senate and county race hopefuls also present.
Mr and Mrs Hill of Walnut and Case streets and Mr and Mrs Cox of McPherson Kans marked their wedding anniversaries yesterday. Mr and Mrs Cox received a gold clock and exchanged rings and bracelets. The Hills received a companion ring and bracelet plus cut glass water set for their family celebration. A noon luncheon and fern and autumn leaf decorations accompanied the event with guests including the Hills daughter Mrs H J Deardorff of Jasper and others from Tulsa and nearby towns.

The local electric venture, led by Woo Percy and Irwin Murray, prepared machinery and began preliminary work Wednesday. Separate reports tell of Wm. E. Hyder’s death by suicide near Boston, stunning Jasper residents who knew him as a trusted neighbor and businessman.
Hull calls on farmers appointed as superinten dent of the department to support a fall fair. He stresses farming, stock growth, and the city’s welfare. Citizens have aided the fair financially and patrons deserve full support. He urges showcasing corn, wheat, oats, and other staples.
H Bart and partners thresh 7710 bushels, the biggest yield in years, on rough ground east of Jakper. They also seed 500 acres and foresee a much larger output next year. The Eads are noted farmers enjoying prosperity. 1 &. Care bought J L Thomson's feed and poultry business yesterday, to operate at the brick barn opposite the hotel. Mr Carr invites customers to visit his new place of business.
