Lighting Propositions Under City Council Review

An Odd Reunion at Rice's Home in Auglaize County

A Sunday gathering at Rice's home in this city united many former Auglaize County Ohio residents including Mrs Coleman, Mrs Adams, Miss Zane, and James Zane, in honor of Mrs Coleman who recently visited here then returned to Ohio. John Andrews, long known in Jasper and Golden City areas, died suddenly in Oklahoma City after convulsions following a cramp, leaving a wife and two sons.

No Crew to Depot Robbery Report

Robbery at the depot last Monday week remains unsolved as suspects arrested at Carthage were released for lack of evidence and two men at Lamar fled to avoid arrest. The thief reportedly escaped with $30, paid by temporary agent Yankey from his own funds to cover the loss.

L. C. Lay Sells Farm to Kirksville Man

Geo Waltz of Kirksville Mo buys the L C Lay 160 acre farm east of town for 16400 dollars or 65 dollars per acre. Lay remains on 80 acres until January 1 with Waltz staying in town until that date. Mrs Lukens goes to join Mr Lukens in Kansas City after attending the stock show.
