Cecil Hastings attends school locally and multiple residents travel for work and family visits. A shipload of livestock debuts from Jasper, births reported, a church meeting planned, and a mysterious fire destroys a barn near Jasper with insured loss, plus appeals for investigation.
William Arthur Courtney and Miss Ola Sims, noted Jasper area couple, wed Saturday in the private office of the county recorder with Miss Cecil Courtney attending. They will reside on the Curtis farm south of Jasper. Jasper Board of Education adopted a resolution supporting read of the Bible in schools to be implemented through superintendent and staff with proper literature.
The Christian Church ladies will serve good home cooking at the fair in the brick barn building with short orders available any time. Breakfast features hot cakes bacon eggs syrup and coffee each morning. A chicken pie dinner and cherry pie are to be served Wednesday. The public is invited.
