Dwight Seal, grandson of H. I. Fox, married Miss Marvella Vought on Wednesday September 26 in Kansas City. He worked with Southern Pacific Railway and Electric Supply Co, then with Hotel Muehlebach before taking over management of the Astor Hotel owned by his father. The bride comes from a prominent Kansas City family and is noted for music and writing plays. her mother’s wedding gift was a deed to a stylishly furnished home. her father has been dead two years.

Former Jasper Man Dies in Little Rock
W. G. McCormick died in Little Rock Arkansas on September 20 1917 from a stroke of paralysis and was buried there. Willie McCormick was raised and educated in Jasper and vicinity and was known by many older residents. He had a brother L L McCormick who taught in Jasper County schools and now lives in Tulsa Oklahoma.
