A Commercial Club meeting Tuesday night secured about one third of the stock for a shoe factory with ten Jasper men subscribing rapidly. By 1 pm Wednesday the list included Omer Webb, Hendricks, Ollie Roberts, Bert Webb, T. J. Kunkler, Chas Lilly, Schooler Grain Co, Tillers, Mammond and others with several amounts around 1166.07.

The Eleventh Annual Jasper County Royal Corn Show is on at Carthage and runs through Saturday with a total prize list of 44. A farmers institute addresses the public each afternoon in the upstairs courtroom, and a mass farmers meeting is planned all day at the courthouse. At 1 pm Saturday the best exhibit corn will be sold at auction to set seed corn. proceeds go to the owner. Everyone is urged to attend.
