George Grayson a Joplin lawyer sues the Joplin Daily Globe for 20000 alleging libel in articles printed in July and November last year. The petition claims the Globe alleged the plaintiff sold out the city to a suit against the Southwest Missouri Electric line and the November piece is based on comments of the paper.

The Putnam and Lyons of Jasper sued Harry Marks of Carthage for 140 dollars as commission on a clothing stock sale. Judge Woodford ruled for the plaintiffs for the full amount last Friday in Carthage. Marks’ attorney Allen McReynolds served notice of appeal immediately.
