A Grand avenue scene last Tuesday mistook as a street fair shows Halloweenists removing property to celebrate the night. Vehicles and yard items were moved, gates torn, and soapy window inscriptions appeared, but overall damage was limited. Police presence is urged for next year.
T. H. Hammond advertises to farmers to bring cream for top market pay. The notice emphasizes high prices and easy transaction, inviting customers to deliver cream to the purchaser.

The Taka club met at Mrs. T. B. Hardaway's home with three visitors Mmes Lowe Hendricks and Hardaway. Members listed include Mmes Knott Wall Cozatt Putnam C Teeter C Wood H J Deardorff J R Wells J R Dodd W C Thomas. Luncheon featured pressed chicken sandwiches pickles relish pumpkin pie and cider. Hallowe en cards were given. next meeting at Mrs Knott s then hay ride to Mrs C Ward s at 2 p m next Wednesday.
Ben Wilson, a noted socialist speaker, addressed Jasper voters last Saturday from a wagon on Grand Avenue. He drew a crowd about as large as the two major party speakers have attracted so far this campaign.
Dr Knott contends a lone pumpkin vine in his garden could win the universe pumpkin-raising title. The vine yielded twelve pumpkins totaling 445 pounds with a 52 pound largest and 39 and 20 pound smallest fruits. Six pumpkins weighing 275 pounds were shown at Crandall's store yesterday as rivals prepare to challenge the record.
Jasper high school pupils host an oyster supper on Friday night November 11 at the high school building to benefit the annual and support the Mirror. A fine literary program will be rendered and all are cordially invited. Proceeds go to Mirror.
