Park Loses Suit Over Alba News Ownership Dispute
In Carthage Justice Woodward's court Park McMinlan contested that he owned the Alba News plant against Mrs. Burroughs who claimed ownership. The jury ruled the plant belonged to Mrs. Burroughs and Park was to be compensated. testimony noted the plant's value at about $10. The case may continue with further actions by government and involved parties as the dispute over the paper's ownership persisted.
