The News released a new telephone directory with an address by Prof. James Shannon of Springfield. He is described as a forceful speaker and an excellent thinker, delivering an address that no one should miss.
Commencement exercises are set for next Sunday at the M i church with Rev J L McCaughtry as speaker. The program includes a double mixed quartet, Mrs. Tuber singing, and student orations plus music and readings. Commencement also noted for Thursday May 15 at 8 fi 7 with an anticipated duration around thirty minutes.
The pastor will preach next Sunday morning and evening with topics “An old man's reasons for rejoicing” and “A young man gone wrong.” All are urged to bring parents and especially youth. Sunday school meets each Sunday at 9:45 AM, led by T. W. Medearis.
