Jasper High School Class of 1902 Graduation Exercises
The Jasper High School class of 1902 held its alum banquet at Obrie tine church on Friday evening. Nine young ladies and two young men graduated. speeches, essays, and readings by Mies Nina Deray Celia Dodd Anna Conlon and others highlighted the program. The event featured music by the orchestra and a class history by Carson Baker and Ottis Crandall, with commendations to teachers and the board of education. The juniors interjected a playful sendoff, prompting cheers from seniors and guests who congratulated the graduates.

Harry Johnston Killed In Road Accident Near Harrisonville
A young man named Harry S Johnston, son of J P Johnston of Dewey neighborhood, was killed when struck by a car near Harrisonville Missouri. The body was found on the tracks Friday morning and sent to Jasper for burial after inquest. An apparent Kansas City package shipment the day before suggests he had planned to work as a barber. The community mourns his loss as funeral services were held at the Dunker church.
