Miss Flavel Brooks Plans Return To Canada Music Post
Miss Flavel Brooks recently taught in Yellow Grays Saskatchewan public schools for two years and visits her parents Dr. and Mrs. J. M. Brooks. She will travel to Boston for a music course and return by September to Regina College as piano instructor. Nearby, Chas Earle of Jasper now in Webb City was visited by Earl Laudenslager’s family when he suffered cerebral apoplexy and died. he was 65.

The newspaper suspended publication briefly Wednesday in mourning for Judge A G Drake of Chetopa, father of the paper's editor. About 200 inches of advertising and some news items were omitted as editors paused to honor the judge.

Frank Steiner's Wounds Return From War Front
Frank Steiner was wounded on November 1 during the Allied push toward the German border. A shell fragment fractured his leg, with five operations by army surgeons and a last procedure on June 12 to remove dead bone. He has been out of bed only briefly in the past two weeks and is now in ward 6 at Generis Hospital 25, Fort Benjamin Harrison, Ind., likely remaining there for some time. he is expected to be permanently disabled. His sister Mrs Steve Garrett provided the information.

Mr Kitterman Funeral Held At Home Last Thursday
Funeral services for Isaac Kitterman were led by Rev J W Moore from the M EK Church at his home Thursday afternoon at 4 o clock. Interment followed at Jasper Masonic Cemetery. Attending were numerous old friends and Kitterman relatives including George Kitterman and Mrs Guilfoyes of La Junta Cole son and daughter, Walter Kitterman with a Western Union Telegraph crew, Henry Kitterman who lives far west of the railroad, Mr and Mrs Tharp of Miami Okla, and Chases and Levi Kitterman.

Will of T. H. B. Bell Filed for Probate in South Richland
The will of the late T. H. B. Bell filed with Probate Judge Harry Mallett in South Richland leaves the testator's personal effects and household goods to his wife Hattie Bell. He also bequeaths five dollars to his daughter-in-law Mrs. Pascoe and the estate, estimated between five and six thousand dollars, will pass to the widow. The will was drawn in Carthage November 10, 1904 when Bell lived in Jasper County.
