Special Meeting Forms Action on State Aid in Jasper
The Commercial Club held a special session Monday night to pay bills file a requisition for state aid and decide on improvements to the Jefferson Highway north of Jasper and the west road. Bills allowed include 2480 for dragging west rand 4175 for North Jefferson Highway work. The club discussed increasing subscriptions and employed Hayzlett to solicit funds. Secretary Webb was ordered to subscribe 100 per mile for five miles west. Oliver Drake highlighted destitute train passengers, and a 25.00 warrant was approved for tickets to Kansas City.
