Mrs C W Holmes Passes Away in Jasper
Mrs C W Holmes died suddenly last Thursday afternoon after a long illness and poor health. Born Bernice L Spaulding in Wisconsin September 22 1865 she married C W Holmes in 1906 and moved to Jasper. Funeral was Friday at home with Rev WO Thompson. interment at Brethren Church Cemetery. Mr Holmes shares in the sympathy of friends.

Good Farm Sold Near Jasper to Conklin
George Watts sold his farm two miles east of the Jasper school house to Charles Conklin this week for 60 an acre. Waltz had paid 65 an acre three years ago. The place features sandy loam soil, fine buildings, fences, windbreaks, abundant water, fruit, and a swivel house. Conklin already owns a southeast Jasper farm and plans to bring in his son from Kansas. neighbors wish Waltz and family well.
