J. B. LaForee died suddenly at his home northeast of town on Thursday afternoon at age unknown. He had planned to move to Lamar with his family and had packed the household goods. He rested on a couch after working around the house, then died within minutes. He is survived by his wife and twelve children. Funeral services will be held at the Christian church in Jasper at 11:00 a.m. Saturday March 2, conducted by Rev. Ferguson. Interment will be in Jasper cemetery.
