The News will relocate to the Velle building beside Beam’s barter shop after ending a five year lease in the Menphricks building. The change is familiar to locals and expected to go smoothly, with no disruption to operations.
Mrs Mathie Peterson returned from Sunday School to find children and families gathered for her birthday anniversary celebration. Present were Mrs Paine Peterson matron of Carthage hospital unable to attend, with W Peterson and Kenny, Lloyd Horduaay and family, Arthur Radford and family, Mea Ethel Peterson and Allen Powrson.

F B Dunning plans to move this week into a new brick shop beside Hammond's mill on Grand avenue. He promises to be better prepared for quality blacksmithing and wagon repairs and invites friends to visit his new shop.
The Jasper band was reorganized last week with Vernon Matthews on fender. Matthews is regarded as a good musician and a gentleman, and the group aims to prosper under his leadership.

Jacob Baerge of Georges heritage died last Wednesday at home in Jasper County after a long illness. He came to Jasper years ago and lived near the late Dr Baltatsssie east of town before moving here. Survived by wife Miss Barbara Kurtz of Wooster Ohio and many children, the funeral was held at the M Church Jasper with Rev Shank delivering the sermon. Interment in Jasper Cemetery. Surviving relatives include brothers and sisters aged from 74 to 87.
Jasper County reports a top sale price of 200 dollars for a Sow from the Spotted Poland China sale at Jamesport Faulkner site. The seller, who bred and raised the sow, notes buyers from four to five states sought stock and most male pigs were sold before departure.
