Miss Alizé Templin daughter of Mr and Mrs R Templin became the bride of Wm L Oehlert near Raymore Cass County last Saturday at 4 pm in the bride’s home. Rev E H Sapp of Jasper MB Church officiated in front of relatives. The bride, once a Jasper student and recent teacher near Reeds, is noted in the community. the groom is a Raymore farmer who prepared a home for them. Sister Mrs H L Bussong of Belton attended, as did Leslie Templin and family of Bartlesville Oklahoma.
A Wednesday wood chopping at the Boucher place organized by the Uthai Society of the M. E. Church attracted 15 men and 18 women. The women prepared a hearty dinner while the men split wood. Bro. Sapp now has enough wood for three years.
A plea from the Sheldon Enterprise urges readers to pay overdue subscriptions. It notes paper costs have fallen but argues the paper used remains expensive at fourteen dollars per hundred pounds plus freight and drayage. The note asks readers to come across and settle balances.
Reported last Sunday evening a street car wreck on a steep grade in Kansas City injured several people including Miss Pearl Burnett. Jasper Jenee, writing to her, said she was not badly hurt based on her mid week letter.
