Regular services planned for next Sunday at the Baptist Church with Rev J M Tate to conduct. Public invited. Kiowa County Kansas visitors Joe Smith and wife staying with relatives and enjoying western Kansas life. News Office offers sale printing services.
Thirty four of forty three stockholders met Tuesday at 2 30 PM to form a temporary organization. Dr Hendricks and Bert Webb were elected president and secretary. A three stockholder panel to nominate 18 to choose nine directors was formed with names listed including Webb, Roberts, Waters and others. Directors to serve until the by laws election are Hendricks Knott Roberts Webb Waters Scott Hayzlett Wardaway and Follmer. Don Aldrich of Webb City will be active manager.
Steps are taken to reorganize the Jasper Band with at least two or three women likely to join. Country players will be asked to cooperate and all parts seem available except a good solo cornet. Two or three beginners will start, others invited. contact Roy Wells or Mendel Rake for details. Mrs E L Brown visited relatives at Joplin last week.
A starving Mexican dog, hairless and shivering, seeks shelter at Fred Crandall's back door. He rests among gunny sacks in the Crandall smokehouse, wagging his tail as warmth and food are promised, a rare sight of charity in the community. The scene underscores winter hardship and local kindness.
From June 1 to December 1 Jasper shipped 212 ears of this year’s wheat to market. Wheat from Jasper territory was marketed at Cary town six miles south and Boston seven miles north, with possible sales at Gal- len City. Jasper remains a premier wheat country and the best live stock and grain shipping point between Joplin and Kansas City.

A pie supper will be held Sunday evening December 12 at Pleasant Hill Schoolhouse. Everyone is invited for a good time and proceeds will go to the school. Nina Patterson, teacher.
