Scared at Automobile Spurs Narrow Buggy Crash
Mrs Mitchell and daughter Mrs Morgan were returning from Lamar with Mrs Fagula when a two woman two man automobile approached near the bridge west of town. The horse bolted as the driver tried to keep it steady, upsetting the buggy and injuring the passengers slightly while the axle and spokes were damaged. The party continued on, thankful no serious injuries occurred.

Drowning of Rev E. Rogers Ends Forest Grove Meeting
Rev E R Rogers, pastor at DeKalb and Nelson Missouri, drowned July 25 while swimming with companions near Forest Grove. Rev J R Blythe, who had just finished a two week meeting, reported the incident near Warrensburg. Blythe escorted Rogers's remains for burial as the community mourns a young pastor and friend.
