Everett Lamey nephew of Mra George Peisen and Mra Ed Preston was badly hurt in a mine at Picher Theaday morning when a tub fell on him. He died the next morning. Funeral held at Carthage today at 3 p m. Mia Peisen and Miss Corder attended.

Mrs Herring's Home Burns Near Jasper
Mrs Annie I Herring's home about three miles northwest of Jasper burned to the ground Monday morning. Fire likely caught from soot on the roof. Neighbors saved downstairs furniture and prevented spread. Mrs Herring was carried down a ladder from upstairs. House insured for 700 and furniture for 100.
