Mysterious shooting at Carthage light plant shocks town
Homera Huerge an 18 year old former Jasper resident, shot in the arm by an unseen man at the Carthage light plant Friday night. The assailant fled after threatening he would “get you.” A second shot into the engine room confounded investigators as no suspect is found. Police seek motives and identity amid shifting theories. Mrs Gibson of Easton Mo dies from paralysis stroke at 55.
