London reports King Edward is seriously ill at Aldershot after a chill from the Aldershot parade. Doctors watch closely as laudanum is used for pain, with Windsor onward plans and a possible postponement of the coronation under discussion.

A June gale on Lake Huron near Port Huron Michigan caused three drownings and several near escapes. A rowing party including Arthur Martin and cousins Deatrice and Norma Abraham were caught in the storm. Rescue efforts saved Miss Jennie Patton Marion Patton and Elwyn Skimmin, while Ernest Parr of St John Michigan clung to a fish net and was rescued by Robert Nelson and Van Cran in an open boat.
A two foot high falcon fossil of unusual clarity was found in a large stone block set in the wall of the Masonic temple in Crawfordsville Indiana on June 16.
